SoPac Territory Sales Manager – Yellowbird

The Territory Sales Manager – SoPac will lead the charge in the SoPac region growing this exciting young brand as it continues to double in size year–over–year. The TSM position is available as a remote position, ideally to a candidate located in a city with easy access to the major metros in this region; primarily Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales. The TSM will service all classes of trade in their territory including but not limited to conventional and natural retail, foodservice, convenience, drugstore, and hospitality.

The ideal candidate has strong and proven sales and account management skills as their core competencies. This role will be demanding and fast-paced and will be heavily weighted towards business development. The TSM will have a weekly sales progress call with the Director of Sales and will participate in setting and measuring monthly and quarterly goals. The TSM will also work closely with Yellowbird’s broker and merchandising network in their territory, including searching for and onboarding new partners where necessary. This position will participate in regional and national trade shows as well as source new regional trade show opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to effectively develop a territory sales strategy and manage broker and distributor partners across multiple classes of trade including natural retail, conventional retail, foodservice, hospitality, and convenience.

  • Call on and maintain certain key accounts.

  • Help set aggressive but realistic revenue and development goals within the SoPac territory and optimize your approach and resources to meet them.

  • Ability to effectively manage time and travel budget is a must.

  • Act as a point person for the SoPac territory and continue to develop yourself as an industry expert.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in CPG sales.

  • 2-3 years experience in the food industry, specifically retail or foodservice sales.

  • Proven track record of managing a large geographic territory and hitting sales targets.

Salary: $55k base salary; 2% commission on territory sales (currently a $300k territory, huge room for growth); $1250 quarterly OTE bonus.  $700/mo car + phone allowance. Paid out-of-territory travel. Comprehensive PTO structure. Full health insurance package including dental and vision. Company covers 80% for employee and 50% for dependents.
